Flirting With Your Husband

Hey friends, festival season is approaching fast. That means you will get some holidays to spend with your family. If you want to bring the romance and fire back in your marriage, we are giving you a number of ways to enjoy your marriage even after five or more of your marital relationship. Whether people go for arranged or love marriage, after some years of marriage they start having a monotonous feeling in their marriage. It might be possible that there are so many responsibilities on your shoulders; you are unable to spend quality time with your spouse. But it is not important to spend a lot of time together. What is important is to make effective use of the limited time that you can find.

If you or spouse does not have enough time to share with each other, you can try flirting with each other to bring spark in your marital bond. Flirting with your husband does not mean that you have to spend time in bed to improve your relationship. We know many of you get little time with each other because of your professional liabilities. But flirting means showing affection to your partner by loving gestures and talks. It is a great way to re-infuse romance into your lives.

You are going to attend some party, but you want your husband to stay at home with you. It can be made possible through flirting. Though you may not realize it, you have an inherent power within you to make him obey you merely with your sight. Just deeply stare into the eyes of your spouse for some time, lick your lips and look away. Repeat it for some time and after about 15 minutes only, you will find your husband kissing you blindly. He will definitely forget about the party or meeting his friends.

After some years of your marriage, your man is now a very professional person and might not be able to pay attention to you. It is harmless on your part to make the first move; after all it is the question of saving your marriage. No matter if he is physically absent, you can flirt with him with your enchanted sound. Yes, after the powerful sight, he will recognize you with the strength of your voice. You can call him in his office and let him know again and again that you miss him endlessly. Give him as much compliments as you can because men are no different from women. They love to hear compliments and loving notes. If you are little shy in conveying your feelings there is an additional option for you. Either you can record a cassette in your voice or choose a romantic audio tape and insert it in the music system of your husband's car. While going to office, when he hears your surprise gift, he would definitely be bound to come home early in the evening.

Some other ways to get flirty with your husband is to be active while making physical contact. Men do not like dummies in the bed and to refresh your relationship you have to be like his companion rather than some rubber doll. Show him your care and love with little gifts. Place them in the most exceptional places so when he gets them, they will give him more joy and happiness. With these few flirty steps, we are sure you will able boost your love relationship with your spouse.

Strategies for Dealing With The Passing of My Loved One

While dealing with death, you need strategies for coping with the passing of a loved one. My coping skills were therapy sessions with my psychologist, having something to look forward to, and doing something new. All three helped me to move on with my life.

I knew, without a doubt, that I would be dealing with grief as a widow by the time I was forty. My husband's health issues turned his heart into a ticking time bomb and when that time bomb did explode, I had to adjust my life to one without Larry.

After suffering from depression for many years, I had finally realized that I needed help. I started therapy sessions with a psychologist about a month before Larry died. When that time had come, I was grateful that I already had someone I could talk with about the feelings and questions I had about his death. Larry had been driving a truck for his employer when a passerby stopped to see if he needed assistance since the truck was parked at the side of the road. Larry was alone in the truck slumped over to his right side. An ambulance was called to the scene but the EMTs could not revive him.

I had several questions about what Larry may have gone through during the last moments of his life. Did he have a heart attack or stroke? Was he in much pain and for how long? What were his last thoughts? Did he even think of me and our two daughters? Why was he alone?

For a few month after Larry died, I felt so alone...he was never coming home again. I felt guilty, too, for not being with him because I knew that I could have gotten help to him quicker. I would go to a local fast food restaurant to read for hours and have a meal so that I wouldn't have to be at home without him there. Thankfully, there was something that I was looking forward to that I knew would help ease my heartache.

Casting call was coming up pretty soon for a theater production at the local junior college. I had previously volunteered my sewing talent for costuming other shows there. I was at my personal best making and altering costumes, assisting the actors with dressing for their characters, and yes, even acting in a few small roles. It was a thrill to see the costumes that I had made up on the stage for all to see.

The first show I worked on after Larry died was The Glass Menagerie. While working on that show, I was able to concentrate on doing something that I loved instead of being in my own "coffin" of grief. I was once again among the living. After a few months of rehearsals and productions, I was ready to do something new.

For a short time, I tossed around the idea of opening a sewing and alterations shop. I discussed this idea with my psychologist and she suggested that if I felt good about it, to go ahead and follow through with it. I had set aside enough money to be able to rent a small space that had plenty of people traffic, have a cutting table and small dressing room built, and have a little bit left over for any sewing supplies I would need. I already had a sewing machine, desk, iron, and ironing board. After I got everything set up, The Sewing Basket was open for business.

I realized that opening the shop was the best medicine for me at that time. I was in contact with people every day and became plenty busy with the sewing and alterations I did for my customers. I was beginning to come around to being my "normal" self again, and not just depressed and missing someone who had been a part of my life for just over seventeen years.

Having to live without my husband after he died was a long but bearable journey. If I hadn't continued the therapy sessions, I believe that I would have become more deeply depressed than I already was. If it weren't for me using my long-established sewing talent in creative and profitable outlets, I would have allowed myself to be more isolated, too. These were important coping skills for me during my early months of coping with the passing of my loved one.

Why the Law of Attraction Works for Everyone But You!

I'll have to admit that this used to be a favorite belief of mine..."The Law of Attraction works for all my friends, all my client's but it won't work for me." Poor me, I think about what I want and I see that other people are getting what I want so they are doing something "right" and I am either not doing something right or I'm not smart enough or worthy enough. What a "lovely" place to be in. But contrary to popular thought, living with this belief has some apparent benefits.

1.I can feel sorry for myself, like I am somehow special because I am such a victim.
2.I don't have to have the discipline to move my thoughts towards what will make me feel good. Instead I can just wallow around in my "pitiful" thoughts.
3.I don't have to take action towards my dreams.
4.I don't have to take responsibility for my life.
5.I don't have to grow or take risks.

I can just whine! The problem with focusing on how everyone else gets what they want and I don't is that by focusing on it I am making it come true. Soon I begin to feel even worse and it gets old playing the victim! It doesn't feel good to play that "Poor Me" song very long. Not to mention it doesn't work if you want a fabulous life.

So how do you change your belief from "nothing good happens to me and life is working for everyone else but me" to a belief that supports you for instance, "Wonderful things are always happening in my life." You look around and see lot's of incidents, both now and in the past, that support your old belief. So it has to be true. Right? Well, no! The problem is you created your experiences by choosing what you focus on so it HAS been true in your past. Someone else did get the promotion you wanted. Someone else does have the career you dreamed of or a relationship like the one you desire. But guess what? The joy is that you create your reality. You can have what you want as well! All you need to do is shift your focus.

Envying what others have is one way your higher self is getting your attention. It may not feel the best but feeling envy is a clue that this is something you want. Instead of labeling that feeling as envy relabel it as desire. Then you can look at that person who has something you desire and say "Thank you! Thank you for showing me what I want and I know there is enough for both of us." In fact you can take this a step further and send out blessings every time you see someone with something you desire. For example when you see someone who is extremely successful in a career you dream of, thank them! Write them an email and thank them for their success as it encourages you to be successful too. When you see someone driving a car you desire send blessings to them. By doing this you acknowledge that there is enough for everyone! This Universe is full of abundance.

Begin looking for ways that you are being blessed right now. Look around and see how the Law of Attraction IS working for you. The way I see this work most easily in my life is by finding parking spaces. I started this a couple of years ago and it works! I just think about finding a parking space near the door knowing the right one will show up and it is amazing how often it does! Sometimes I drive up and see cars pulling out left and right until I have several spots to choose from. It's fun! This is only one example of how you can change your focus and begin focusing on how the Law of Attraction IS working for you.

Remember the Law of Attraction is a physical law like gravity. It works for everyone equally. Unfortunately, many of us use it in a way that makes us get what we DON'T want instead of what we do want. When we focus on what we don't have and feel terrible, sure enough we get more lack. Start today by focusing on what you desire, sending out blessings to those who have what you want knowing that there is plenty for you as well. And don't forget those parking spaces. I'll see you near the front door!

A Negative Calorie Food List

To make a negative calorie food list, we must be precisely clear on what we mean. There has been some confusion about this phrase. Some have thought that this kind of food contains no calories at all. This can't be right as long as all kinds of food contains at least some energy.

We're going to present you with a list of this kind of food. If you follow it, not necessarly without any other kinds of food, it will increase metabolism naturally, and the result will be weight loss - especially compared with eating a meal where these foods are not included.

Now, it's time for a definition. When we say nagative calorie food, we mean foods which contain so little energy that the body actually uses more energy to digest and absorb the nutrients. So if you subtract calories you'll burn from the calories you eat, the result will be negative. Only by digesting the food you have eaten, there will be a net loss of energy or a negative energy balance. This is what must happen if you want to lose weight but with this food you don't have to do anything but eat it to accomplish that.

You can also eat protein in combination with such food. Good protein will help you control your appetite as well as increase your metabolism because the total amount of calories are not reduced too much.

Here is the list:

Vegetables

Fennel, aubergine, gourd, broccoli, leek, cabbage, lettuce, carrots, marrow, cauliflower, peppers, celery, radish, chicory, spinach, cress, tomato, cucumber, turnip.

Fruits

Apricot, mandarin orange, blackberry, melon canteloupe, blackcurrant, peaches, clementines, plums, damsons, raspberry, grapefruit. rhubarb, guava, strawberry, honeydew melon, tangerine, lemon, watermelon.

Free cover letters are easy to access on the internet nowadays. This has become a usual resort to people who are afraid that they do not have the right skills to make one for themselves. Subliminal Messages - Control Your Thoughts and Create Your Own Life

We all are aware of the fact that we are the architect of all that occurs in all of our lives. We tend to create our physical life experience through our thoughts. Accurately, every thought that we think of gives birth to a creation. So indeed every thought has creative power to perform.

In general, the subconscious accepts whatever you pretend is real and will use it to create your outer reality. The thoughts that you think, regarding those things that you want, set into action the formation, and eventual fulfillment of that which you want. And likewise, the thoughts that you assume, regarding those things that you do not want, set into motion the creation, and eventual fulfillment of that which you do not want.

You might be aware of the technique Creative Visualization used to create what you want in your life. In simple terms, it is your natural power of imagination that you are already using it every minute. Creative visualization is nothing but imagining or thinking what you want to be rather than what you don't want.

It is what your subconscious brain really thinks of. Imagining what you want is like creating a replica before you construct the real thing. The images direct the energy in your body.

You have planned your life yourself. You did not create anything in your outer reality that is a stranger to you. There is comfort to be had by looking at your "outer circumstances" and realize that this is a perfect reflection of what you truly believe as a soul.

With each breath, with each liveliness, you send out this essence of yourself, which blends with other essences and creates and re-creates your physical environment. Feel yourself centered within and sending out waves of your energy. See it radiation outward from your physical being and into the environment, where it becomes an extension of yourself.

Recognize that the things you perceive "out there" are the manifestation of your thoughts, formed by YOUR energy into symbols of the inner you, your essence, and your soul.

You are the architect of the whole thing in your life. Nothing happens against your perceptions. The inner desire of the wise and cognizant soul is to externalize, to create a concrete materialization of what it internally holds to be true and thereby experience that trust. It is through that experience that the transformation occurs.

Your life is not your master, it is your child. Every flash of your life is substantially creative and the world is eternally bountiful. Just put forth a clear enough appeal and everything your heart wishes must come to you.

Emotions help you create truth and thus the reality. When you deem in something, love, desire, and want it, you can build it more quickly. If there is anything you want to become conscious of, focus upon it. Whatever you turn your attention to, you will create.

Life is really very easy and effortless. What we confer out, we get back. You create foundation with the thoughts that you think. Beliefs generate thoughts and emotions, which create your inner experience and outer reality. If any area of your life is not working, one of your beliefs in that area simply needs to be enhanced.

You can easily control your thoughts and create your life with deliberate intent. Come on Get it and conquer the world.

Cop Some 'Tude!

Do you express your gratitude enough? I know I dont. And I dont mean whether you write your thank-you notes on time. Do you take some time every day to feel fully grateful for what you receive? Think of it as writing a thank-you note to the universe (or God, or your higher power) for looking out for you.

Thanksgiving obviously creates the perfect opportunity to cop some tude. Its easy to feel grateful at this time of year. So Im not going to talk about family holiday traditionsyou can get that out of any magazine in the supermarket checkout line.

I am going to encourage you to take a few minutes every day to be grateful. Being grateful sets the stage for receiving more of what you want. Being grateful also lets the universe know you are appreciative of what comes your wayeven when you feel like youve worked really hard for it, and the universe didnt really help at all.

Sound a bit too esoteric for you? Lets bring it down to earth. Here are some of the tude-building activities that work for me.

1.My gratitude practice includes taking time each day to write down five things I'm grateful for that day. Some days I go over the limit; other days two of my items are "breathing out" and "breathing in". I learned this practice many years ago, when I read Simple Abundance (http://www.simpleabundance.com) by Sarah Ban Breathnach. This list takes 2 minutes each day.

2.Another gratitude reinforcement comes during my meditations. After manifesting using my virtual crystal ball, I take a minute to express gratitude to the universe for listening to me, and for whatever I may receive. These meditations take 5-10 minutes a day.

3.Finally, I just found out about a great little site, where you can light a candle in gratitude (or for whatever reason you wish). It's at http://www.gratefulness.org/ candles/enter.cfm. The site walks you through the process, and you get a tiny window of your candle burning on your computer when you're done. You can shut the window if you want to, your candle burns for 48 hours whether you display it or not. Lighting a candle takes another 2 minutes of my day.

But Ive had a horrible day (week, year, whatever)! What do I possibly have to be grateful for? Here are some of my gratitude journal entries from the last few months:

A great new client.
Moms doing well.
Reading by the beach.
Early to bed.
Great workshop response.
My husband arrived safely.
Reconnecting with old friend.
Little tulips at the end of the road.
My heat works.
My daughters sense of humor.

See, its not that hard. As a recognized expert at copping an attitude, let me tell you that copping some gratitude is much, much easier.

Give it a try yourself. Go ahead, cop some tude!

Removing the Possibility of Failure

Meeting Robert Bly - A Poem

When he meets people, people who appreciate poetry
perhaps in particular, his poetry, or his friends poetry,
or just poetry in particular, to him, (Robert Bly)
this is what its all about! The multi rhythm in people,
the actions, the warmth, the voice, the cold, and the face
he sees it all and more, it is all poetry to him, 24-7
its his bread and water, his wine and song,
his reason for living beyond the unknown.
I have read all his poetry, his eyes and soul look deep into
the abyss, concentrated his hands remain steady,
his mind never escapes his eyes and heart, and thinking.
Meeting another person is a big thing, it is a new path
a new song, perhaps a new foundation somewhere yet to be;
it is all we have here on earth, in this time period, you and me.
It is simple how it works, so it seems, or so it should be,
and perhaps he found the essence of life, the secret of living, between human beings. He
re-examines the nature and function of man, man being his poetry, he goes even further,
traditional distinctions between high and low, he lives inside his language, a physical world, in
imagery, his external reality, it is all in his face, his hands, his smile, his poetry.

1926 8-3-2007

Note: I had only met Mr. Bly once, he did send my wife a post card, after I did an article on him some years back, and he did send me once a letter with is signature on it, and I had once got an invitation to go to his house, back in the 1980s, during my drinking days, but never made it. We really cannot make up for lost time, or lost invitations, but we can look for new ones. And so here is a poem to the worlds last great poet, the last of his kind.

What Is Enlightenment

The concept of enlightenment, I find with some humor, is one which is filled with much non-enlightened thought: that is, thought based in separation and "ego". Firstly, the concept is a label for an experience decidedly without labels. It is an experience of utter freedom - but whatever thought you have of what enlightenment is will always be accumulated from others. It is again, something someone else tells you is a better way.

Second, in most people's thoughts it implies an end to growth, conflict, and issues. Once this magical state is achieved then there is nothing more to learn; one can live in bliss. It is thus a more new age equivalent to the concept of heaven.

Lastly, there is the assumption that enlightenment is "better" than what you are experiencing at this very moment, in the Now. It is separate from what you are in this instant. It is somewhere you have to get to. Some others' references to enlightenment:

  • In Hinduism, it is moksha, a final release from one's worldly conception of "self".
  • In Buddhism, it is the end of suffering. The mind is free from craving, anger, and other afflictive states.
  • In David Hawkins' levels of consciousness in Power versus Force, it is the level at which non-duality is perceived.

It is the latter which seems to describe it for me, but there is of course value in all of them. When reading, it is always easy to intellectualize the concepts, which is very hazardous when dealing with something beyond the intellect. The key is the usage of perception in the description. It is not something you take a pill for, to transmute "bad" energies into "good" ones. Channeling To give the perspective from the "other side", we asked about enlightenment when channeling :

We find no particular merit to the term "enlightenment" other than in acknowledging for you the possibility for greater awareness of Love. You are already complete simply as you are. By this, we mean that you are All That Is, and nothing less.

Within this completeness, of course, is a universe of range for experience and perception. You can experience complete separateness and disunity. You can never actually be less than All That Is, but within your entire being you can experience extremely limited perceptions. The perception that most people would call "enlightenment" is simply an awareness of the fundamental interconnection of All That Is. Because it is a perception, from this state there is nothing that happens to you (an external force operating upon you) but rather simply experiences of you meeting your Self. Externally this looks identical.

There is thus no true need to transform negative emotions or thoughts, because you are All That Is, which includes them. Having different perceptions of what these energies are leads to radically different experiences. It is hard to see the interconnection and oneness of All That Is while disowning parts of yourself, but it is still possible to choose this. Indeed, while having expanded perception you see the beauty and wonder of all choices.

This perception is of course not an end, but rather a beginning. Greater perceptual awareness will always lead to more energy, more growth, more freedom, and more possibility. The perception of oneness is not the same as the experience of it, which is what the soul craves; to know Self through experience. This you are already doing.

And so, we wish you to understand that you are already engaged in the process of knowing and loving your Self, whatever you may be doing. Enjoy your process. It is the process that is important, not the "result". From here comes the old adage: you are already enlightened, but you simply do not perceive Who You Are.

Those who advertise It is of course true that those who advertise their state as enlightenment as "better" are not likely to be in this state, for then they would not see it as "better". It may be there are those who perceive true oneness are in a state of pain. Ramana Maharishi had painful cancer in the final year of his life, but was said to be peaceful and serene through the pain. Again, it is the Zen koan: "Zen is like a finger pointing at the Moon". It is much more helpful to know the moon: point towards your Self.

And so if you perceive Who You Are, are you really any different? Is it any better? Again, that is your choice. There is nothing lost and nothing gained, for you are always Who You Are.

Child Development - Children and the Benefits of Angels

Angels in art and meditation are an alternative and spiritual healing therapy for child development.

As more and more alternative and spiritual healings are being studied and documented they are finding that all forms of upliftment heals the body, mind and spirit. Angelic art falls within this category by uplifting the spirit. I do not claim Angel paintings create physical healings. Angel paintings soothe the emotions and create a more peaceful atmosphere helping today's society deal with the stressful world we now find ourselves in on a day to day basis.

Angel paintings are unique. They are a form of healing art. Angelic art uplifts, motivates, comforts, soothes and inspires. Each painting holds it's own inspirational energy and you do not have to be a " Believer" for this to work. These paintings work on a deep emotional level, clearing, releasing and comforting the emotions and melting the stress of the day away. Inspiring within each individual that gazes upon them their own God like image and this is how the healing takes place. A place of beauty and perfection is remembered by the Soul." Divine energy is at work assisting alternative and spiritual healing through Angel therapy in the form of fine art.

My Angel paintings for example are personal, Angels by Sharae, whether it be in one of my collection series or for a specific individual or relationship or group. Upon completion of each painting, I know that it is indeed meant for someone and their heart and soul will instantly know and respond to the Angel and the energy before them in the painting. My Angel art is a gift, given to and through my talent by Divine Angels guidance instructed to them by a much Higher Source. The Angels oversee and instruct every brushstroke and detail of paint color and every brushstroke within each painting ... they truly know "Who" the painting is for and the message it portrays. You can read more about how the paintings are created on my Sharae's Studio page. These paintings are truly a "Living" source of Divine Energy. I have witnessed some pretty amazing emotional releasements, and reactions when people have gazed upon them and truly responded with their soul !

Each day, more and more documented proof is coming through from the medical fields proving that Art and Music are truly a recognized healing tool to be used by everyone. Whether it be in participation, gazing upon or listening ... Art heals. This has always been known in the Alternative and Holistic medicines, but now is being used more and more in the traditional medicines opening up a whole new train of thought causing many, many positive results benefiting all. I look forward to it becoming an everyday occurrence ... just as a standard prescription is used.

'Healing With The Angels', by Doreen Virtue who also authored Angel Therapy, " teaches esoteric and practical methods that help you work with your Angels in healing your relationship, family and body issues." Angel or Angelic art is an extension of this therapy.

Indigo and Crystal Children and the elderly respond to the Angel Paintings with a knowingness of love and illumination that comes from within them. Sometimes the reactions have been as though they are recognizing an old friend.

Children respond to Angels. I have spent many an hour introducing children to their Guardian Angels through guided visualization meditations. These meditations are a great way for children to have fun and to feel safe as never before when they actually know their own Angel. Angel paintings work in the same way when hung in their space and they know this is an image of their Angel. I have personally witnessed children who were afraid and shy most of the time become outgoing, happy kids ... when they have acknowledged their Angel it seems to open a whole new world for them because they know they are safe with their Guardian Angel watching over them.

Angels are so much more than we realize. I have found them to be great teachers and an endless source of information.

The Angels are the keepers and protectors of our children and surround each and every child with their wings of love. They focus on the nuturing, love and guidance of each and every little soul ... which speaks to my heart and makes it smile and I get to be called "The Angel Lady" by all these wonderful children.

Angels are so much more than messengers.

Achieve All of Your Goals

In Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen's original "Chicken Soup for the Soul," I am reminded of the short story titled "Another Check Mark On the List." This is a story about a 15-year-old boy named John who, on one rainy day, when it was too wet outside to play, he decided to write a list of goals. John continued writing until he had 127 goals. These goals included exploring the Nile River, climbing high mountain peaks around the world and learning 3 foreign languages. He also wanted to be featured in a Rose Bowl Parade and play several musical instruments.

Of the 127 goals that he listed over 60 years ago, John has achieved 108. If he lives to become 75 years old he will achieve 109 (he listed "live to see the 21st Century"). How did John achieve all of these goals? He wrote them down.

Step 1 Write It Down:

Write it down, write it down, and write it down!

Have you ever got to a point where you were going to write down a New Year's Resolution or some other goal you thought you wanted, only to find yourself procrastinate. One year later, did you need to achieve the same New Year's Resolution or goal? Why does this happen?

It happens because of that little voice inside of you that says, "I am not good enough or worthy enough to be in possession of the benefits derived from achieving my goal." "I have been programmed for failure."

I recently read a motivational quote that said: "If you can't write it down, you can't do it."

Let us think about that for a minute. Every day you may be compiling lists of things to do to run your household, perform your job, or plan your business trip or vacation. How many times do you really write down, exactly what you want out of life?

How many long term or short-term goals do you write down?

Now when thinking about what you want to achieve focus your attention on specific words and ideas relating to your goals. Give those words and ideas your complete attention as you write them down.

Did you ever write a letter, business report, or term paper and at times find your fingers flying across the keyboard?

Since written words are symbols of objects, ideas, or feelings, could the physical process of entering these words onto a page actually create a subconscious connection?

I believe it does. When you use language to communicate on paper, you need to process the information on a subconscious level.

The help you are getting while creating your list of goals is coming straight from your powerful subconscious mind. Why not take advantage of the power of your mind in achieving your goals?

Write your goals down in your day planner, write them down, and hang them on your walls. Write your goals on sticky notes and place them on your bathroom mirror or on your windows.

Every time you write your goals down, your body is moving towards them. The goals are getting clearer and clearer. The roadmap you create by writing goals down projects straight to your subconscious mind and is being acted upon.

A now popular syndicated cartoonist wrote down 15 times a day, every day the following sentence. "I want to be a syndicated cartoonist." He did this every single day, even when he did not feel like a syndicated cartoonist. Now, Scott Adams, the creator of the "Dilbert Cartoon" is a full-time, syndicated cartoonist, known the world over. Scott "wrote it down."

One way to state that goal in a more positive and immediate context is to say, "I am a syndicated cartoonist." Act as if you already are in possession of the goal. It takes a lot of pressure off you during your daily activities when you feel the new role. You then become comfortable with it.

Write your goals down everywhere. As you write them down think about John, the 15-year-old goal achiever from the "Chicken Soup for the Soul" story. Now that John is in his seventies, what advice would John have for you when you ask him, "What is the most important thing I can do to achieve my goals?"

Listen to John whisper in your ear these three words... write it down.

How to Increase Your Energy

It takes more distress and poison to kill someone who has peace of mind and loves life." Bernie S. Siegel, M.D.

As a motivational speaker conducting leadership training and keynote speeches around the world, I'm often asked to combine the topic of leadership with "life balance" and stress management. Here are 15 easy tips that will help you increase your energy, enthusiasm and reduce stress. And if you're in a leadership position, how can you be an effective leader and set a good example if you are not motivated and energized to perform good work?

1) Get enough sleep. According to the National Sleep Foundation in Washington, D.C., 65% of Americans are sleep deprived. Try to get at least seven hours of sleep per night.

2) Go to bed and wake up around the same time each day. Within the same hour is ideal. Researchers at Stanford Universitys Sleep Disorder Center have found it is possible to catch up on sleep during the weekends, but this can also upset your circadian rhythms and leave you more tired on Monday morning.

3) Do not eat or drink anything within one hour of your bedtime. Your body will only have to work harder to digest your food, which interrupts sleep patterns. By drinking liquids right before bedtime its more likely youll have to get up in the middle of the night.

4) Put your nervous system on glide at least one hour before retiring for the night. You can do this by using soft lighting (no more than 25 watts) relaxing music, a scented bubble bath with candles or some other quiet activity. Try avoiding work at least three hours before you go to bed as this can energize you. The same is true with exercise.

5) Drink plenty of water during the day. Dehydration causes you to feel fatigued even if you are eating healthy and going to bed at a reasonable hour.

6) Plan at least one activity during the day that gives you pleasure and energizes you just to think about it.

7) Socialize with others. Make certain you spend quality time with other adults during the day. And if you work outside the home, preferably where you can discuss something besides business or the kids.

8) Exercise in the morning. Depending on your biorhythms and schedule, many attendees in my speaking engagements report that morning exercise gives them increased energy and a sense of greater calm during the workday. They often tell me they have to drag themselves out the door, but feel so much better afterwards.

9) Take a hot and cold shower to increase your energy. Upon awakening in the morning, take a hot shower with eucalyptus oil sprinkled on a loofah sponge. End with a shot of cooler water. This will invigorate your body, stimulate blood flow and bring oxygen to your cells.

10) Pour on the protein. Foods rich in protein help improve mental acuity and slow the absorption of carbohydrates. Eggs, fish, low fat dairy, nuts, seeds, peanut butter, also meat and poultry if youre not a vegetarian. Still, make sure you include plenty of other foods for moderation.

11) Cut back on caffeine. If you love coffee or colas (coffee lovers I can relate) cut back and consider adding green tea to your daily regimen. Green tea contains powerful anti-oxidants and less caffeine. It has enough caffeine to perk you up but usually not so much that you experience that crash later in the day.

12) Have a goal of taking at least two weeks vacation time a year. Work your way up to three and four weeks a year. Start taking off two days per week, if thats at all possible, where you refuse to do any type of work that would tax your mind and stress you out. If you are very busy or self-employed like I am, make this something to strive for in the future.

13) Spend time actually planning a getaway vacation. For many of us, staying home for a holiday is nice, but were still surrounded by bills, laundry, phone calls and other stressful distractions. Consider a goal of taking that dream destination vacation youve always wanted whether its to Tahiti, Paris, or a national park. If this seems virtually impossible, I strongly recommend you read the article titled How to Set Goals and Get What You Want under the free articles section at www.ColleenSpeaks.com I dreamed of an Alaska cruise for many years, practiced the simple time-tested techniques in that article, and cruised there for a third time in May 2005.

14) Get outdoors every day even if its overcast. Where I live in the Pacific Northwest, winters are normally gray. Winter 2005 was unusual with its turquoise-blue sunny skies and temperatures reaching almost 70 degrees in January. However, its a proven fact that with reduced sunlight, many people all over the world suffer from SAD, Seasonal Affective Disorder, during the winter months.

15) Listen to mood enhancing music during the day. What type of music energizes you and gets those feel-good hormones into your brain? Blues and jazz? R&B or rock and roll? A word of caution: be careful listening to your favorite music right before bedtime. I sometimes listen to contemporary smooth jazzlots of saxophone and trumpets late into the night, and often it energizes me rather than putting me to sleep.

Take personal responsibility for maximizing your success and minimizing stress. You cant control many external circumstances such as other people, traffic and weather; but you can control your environment. Write down three action steps youll take to improve your well-being. Share these with someone. Develop a buddy system for accountability. When you write them down and commit to them, youre more likely to follow through. Heres to much success and less stress!

The Seven Keys to Motivation

Motivation. Its a complicated subject that is studied by many and understood by few. Virtually every aspect of human life -- from the mundane to the life-changing -- is guided, swayed and altered by motivating factors.

For instance, what to have for dinner may be motivated by a desire to lose or gain weight. Whether or not to attend a business seminar may be motivated by the speakers, location and cost. When and where to buy new clothing may be motivated by a long list of personal preferences as well as the changing seasons and weather conditions.

Even reading this article is a motivated behavior. Do you like the style of writing? Are you curious about the subject matter? Do you have a desire to learn new information? Do you have enough time to finish reading? If the answers are no, you probably wont continue reading!

But since you have continued, you are obviously motivated. You want to learn more about how to get and stay motivated, and how this motivation can help you become a better business owner.

THE BUSINESS OF MOTIVATION Motivation is one of the most powerful driving forces in the workplace. It can mean the difference between tremendous success and failure.

Motivation stems from two sources. The first part of motivation is external or extrinsic (outside the person) sources. Other motivating factors come from internal forces, which are mainly your thoughts, patterns and collective experiences.

However, humans are unique, so what motivates Jack will not necessarily motivate Jill. You -- and only you -- will be able to determine what works.

Take the time to examine what internal and external factors are motivating you as a business owner. What can you do to enhance and refine your motivation to make yourself more productive and more fulfilled?

Here are seven keys to motivation that may prove helpful.

1. INSPIRATION Inspiration is critical to getting and staying motivated. If you are not interested in your business, your motivation level will never be high and you wont be able to sustain interest for very long.

On the flip side, if you are energized and excited about the work you are doing, you will have more persistence, energy and intensity.

Take an honest look at your inspiration level. Are you excited about going to work or is it an obligation? You would be surprised at the number of people who choose a business that looks good on paper, but in reality does not interest them in the least. These individuals will grow weary and uninterested pretty quickly because they have no inspiration or passion to sustain them during the difficult times they will encounter as a small business owner.

If you dont really enjoy your work, then think how you can re-focus your small business to better match your needs. Or consider making a change entirely. Thats pretty drastic advice, but inspiration is that important.

2. SETTING GOALS Short and long-term goal setting is vital for any business owner. If you didnt set goals, you would be adrift with nothing to strive for and no charted course to follow.

How could you possibly be motivated if you were unsure about the direction of your company?

Take the time to put your goals in writing. A business plan may sound daunting, but it is really nothing more than goals, strategies, implementation and a budget. Write your own business plan and update it at least annually. Include mini-goals that can be accomplished in a matter of hours, days or weeks as well as the more ambitious grand-goals that may take years to complete. Refer to this plan throughout the year.

But can a business plan really help motivate you? Yes! Written goals will make you feel more professional and certainly more connected to your business. It will also free you from having to reinvent your business goals every single day.

3. NETWORKING Another key factor in getting and staying motivated is networking with other small business owners. One person can't move huge mountains. However, when a number of people begin working together the mountains are suddenly only small hills -- simply challenges waiting to be surmounted.

In fact, the isolation of working alone is of one the most difficult parts of being an entrepreneur. Mutual support is motivating. So, make it easier on yourself by connecting with others either in your community or online. Even when businesses are not related, you will often find common ground and ways to work together.

Many successful entrepreneurs report that finding the right networking group was a turning point in the growth of the business. Working together, a networking group can help its members generate more qualified sales leads and solve problems faster and more efficiently. Sharing ideas, expertise and experience is also an invaluable aspect of networking groups. And, dont forget about sharing costs, possibly by buying in bulk or with joint marketing projects.

Your own personal team of business owners will help re-energize you when the burdens of running your own business seem too much. With your networking team to rely on, you can accomplish more in less time and probably have more fun in the process. Certainly, you will feel less alone.

4. REWARD YOURSELF Small business owners will always have to work hard, but all work and no play is a huge mistake. Your motivation will soon begin to fall if you never take any time away from the demands of running the business.

So, plan frequent rewards for yourself. No, it doesnt need to be a trip to Hawaii (although this is a great idea). Your reward can be as simple as a lunch out with an old friend, a matinee with your significant other, an afternoon of shopping or a relaxing massage.

If your budget and time will allow, take a few days off for a short trip or simply schedule a vacation from work for a few days. Make it a real vacation -- even if you dont leave town -- so no checking email, voice mail or the fax machine. You need to get away, unwind and renew yourself. This down time to regenerate will help improve your attitude and perspective. It sounds corny, but you will come back to your business with a new sense of motivation.

5. EXERCISE While it isnt always immediately apparent, there is a powerful connection between the mind and the body. It is vital for every small business owner to take breaks and exercise -- everyday. If your body isnt healthy, your motivation will certainly suffer.

These exercise breaks dont have to be huge blocks of time, and you neednt spend money joining a gym or hiring a personal trainer. Start by walking briskly for 30 minutes before, during or after work. After you have incorporated a walk each day, then try doubling the time or doing two walks each day.

Whatever works for you is best, but the important thing is to start. You will begin to feel better.

After the walking is part of your routine, add some basic light weights. Buy a tape or go online to find out how to properly use the weights so you wont injure yourself.

You can keep the weights under your desk, and use them for just a few minutes at a time. Buy a timer the next time you are at the grocery store. Set the timer for for three minutes to start and then add a minute or two until youre up to 10 or 15 minutes each day.

Some small business owners have a television at work and they schedule a CNN break along with their weights. This way, they are catching up with world and local news while simultaneously getting some moderate exercise.

8. ORGANIZE Organization is critical to motivation. How can you feel good about your work, when you cant find important papers or you are constantly late returning messages? Your business will falter and your motivation will suffer.

Some people just cant get organized. If you are one of them, then consider bringing in someone -- a business friend, family member or professional -- to help you get the clutter and mess cleaned up. You will be amazed at how this one important step will help you get back on the organizational track. Dont stop there. Now really get organized by creating business systems that will help you streamline your operations.

The real challenge will be keeping yourself on track by maintaining these systems. For many, it is a daily challenge, but if you use your organizational systems youll be free to think about other important issues.

7. MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKERS AND AUTHORS As small business owners, it seems we are bombarded with motivational ideas and materials-- tapes, books, CDs, seminars, workbooks, videos and more. Why are there so many different motivational products, authors and speakers? Because people are buying these materials. Used effectively, they are effective and therefore they sell!

However, there are so many different motivational gurus that it is often difficult to see through the clutter to find someone that makes sense for you -- someone who can get you fired up about working and improving your business.

Try talking to your mentor or networking group members to see who they might recommend. Start being aware of the motivational industry and how it might help you become more enthused and positive about your business. Do some light research of your own to find some authors and speakers that interest you.

Before you invest in motivational materials, you can probably find some inexpensive ways to obtain the materials. Check out your local library, tune into your local PBS station, buy materials with a networking friend, visit used bookstores or buy used materials online. Dont make a huge investment, because you will probably want to sample many different viewpoints.

But do these materials really work? Yes, but only if you make the effort. Just like exercise, you have to work the muscles -- in this case your mind muscles.

It is up to you to take that information and apply it to your own life and business. Really use the motivational ideas over a period of time and you will begin to see results.

KEEP THE MOMENTUM GOING Motivation is what moves us forward in our daily and business lives. Take the time to examine your motivating factors and use some of these keys to improve your focus and renew your enthusiasm. If you keep on track, the motivation momentum cant help but carry you forward.

So What Is Motivation? How To Find It, Keep It And Use It

Ok, so the first thing is you need an answer to the question "What is motivation?"

Well, if you look elsewhere on the web and in your local reference library you'll find many, many ideas about this but my favourite place to start is this rather neat description.

"Motivation is having the desire and willingness to do something." (Source: Wikipedia)

You see that's the point, in order to get anything done you need both the genuine desire to achieve the result and also the willingness to spend some time making it happen.

Take this article. For you to see it I needed to genuinely desire that I share my thoughts and I also had to be willing to take time out of my life to get the thing written?

Let's try those questions

Do you often find your get up and go has got up and went? Ok so perhaps this is a question of another desire getting in the way of the one you feel you should be having? We all have times when we'd really rather be doing anything other than the thing we should be doing and often that's just a lack of desire. The other thing is you could just be unwilling to make the effort - an example could be walking the dog in the rain. You know you ought to do it, and you really want the dog to have it's walk, but it's raining for goodness sake!

Perhaps the motivator here is staying dry and warm in front of the tv?

Poor old dog.

Does work equate to boredom? If it does then you have two choices, change how you feel about the work you currently do or change the work. In actual fact the latter is rather the easier of the two it just takes more faith and belief to do it. I did it. I was dreadfully bored sitting in various offices doing work I didn't believe in and having to do the 7am to 7pm shift just to do the 7 hours work I wouldn't get paid much for. Realising I had the same two choices anyone else has, I started working in the evenings and weekends and gradually got brave enough to take the bull by the horns and start doing what I wanted to do full time. As the saying inevitably goes, if I can do it......

Do you start lots of projects, and don't finish them? Ok, taking the thoughts above in mind here then perhaps what's really happening is you enjoy the start of a project because it's new, it's fresh, it's kind of exciting and then as soon as you've got the bit's out of that box from the DIY store and you've looked in vain for any sense in the diagram that came with the wood and the screws, you're well on the way to "I'll get round to it later" In order for the project to be completed therefore the MOTIVATION needs to equate to the end result not the start of the job, you have to be willing to do the work, put yourself out and do the thing you really didn't want to do in the first place. I hire someone in - it's cheaper and the shelves stay up.

Perhaps what you need is more MOTIVATION? Well maybe that's the case but for my money, this is simply part of the much larger puzzle. In order to have a great life, we need to work on ourselves all the time, to learn, to grow, to evolve so that the world around us, while it still may not care about our lack of motivation, is easier to deal with.

Motivation is inside you, you just need to find it, harness it and use it.

Where to Park Your Porsche and Other Great Problems

There are times in life that you confront something that at first blush seems like a problem, but when you look at it in a different light it is not a problem at all. One such problem would be not finding a place to park your brand new Porsche 911. Let's say you're taking a short drive to Malibu Colony Plaza from your Malibu mansion. It's a lazy Tuesday morning and you just want the paper and some coffee. You pull into the plaza and every single spot is taken.

There is nowhere to park and you cant pull over on the side of the road because your Porsche might get hit. What to do? This is a problem! Well, it depends on how you look at it. After listening to this scenario most people would say are you crazy! You are driving a beautiful car, living in a mansion and spending a Tuesday morning looking for the newspaper! How could that possibly be a problem? But for some people who have reached this level, it very well could ruin their morning! While this is a fairly extreme example, it points to a very real problem: most people, no matter how well off, are not grateful for what they have.

While we hope that you will eventually have the problem of not knowing where to park your Porsche, Rolls, or jet for that matter (though that may be a bigger problem), the fact that you dont currently own one of these does not mean that you should not be grateful for what you currently have. Often times we hear people say, if only I had _____, all my problems would be solved. Maybe its a new job, more money, a new house or a new person in their lives. They view the person who already has this item as having everything.

However, as we have seen, the person that has this may not be any more grateful with what he/she has than you are with what you already have. The difference is being grateful for what you have. Because, if you study the Law of Attraction even casually, you will quickly find that being grateful for what you have is the easiest may to signal to the universe that you are ready to have what you really want. The reason for this is that the universe recognizes the frequencies of emotions/feelings that you put out and brings you more of those same emotions/feelings.

The simple explanation of the law of attraction is that like attracts like. If you constantly put out to the universe in your words and actions and thoughts I hate my car, you will always being automobiles into your life that will allow you to continue to say I hate my car. On the other hand, if you hold the intention that I am grateful for my car and I know that someday soon I will have one that I will love even more it will constantly signal the universe to make this a reality. And so on and so forth you will bring about that very car youve always dreamed of owning. Therefore, the difference between the person driving the Porsche today who is ungrateful and the person driving the Hyundai (or bicycle for that matter) and is grateful is that the latter will be driving the Porsche tomorrow. You might be asking, however, just how do I show gratitude.?

The answer to this question is sustaining a mindset of being thankful. You can be thankful for anything and everything that happens to you, in some way. If you oversleep be thankful that you got more sleep, if you get a flat tire be thankful it didnt happen in the middle of a busy highway, if it happened in the middle of a busy highway, be thankful that you werent harmed, if you were harmed be thankful you werent harmed worse.etc. etcWhile this may sound strange and even really weird, the happiness that will come into your life from doing this will be amazing. Some of happiest people in the world are those that have a great deal of bad things happen to them. From these situations they have learned perspective and learned to both be thankful for what they have and, despite their hardships, expect great things to happen to them. One very useful tool for giving thanks is the use of a gratitude board.

Gratitude boards are the counterpart to the Vision Board, which has gained a great deal of attention later. Unfortunately, most people dont realize that without one, the other is useless. Gratitude Boards are like Vision Boards, in that you collect pictures and spend time focusing on those each day. Whereas Vision Boards are full of things you want to bring into your life, Gratitude Boards are full of things you already have. You then go through a process of linking your feels in a cyclical manner between the two and work towards converting items from your Vision Board to your Gratitude Board. Conversion means bringing the item into your life through the Law of Attraction and then continuing to be thankful for it once received. The results from this process can be amazing.

Your Unconscious is Ripe for Gardening

James Arthur Ray, author of "Science of Success," put it rather eloquently in his book. Your unconscious and conscious minds are like the garden and gardener. The conscious mind is the gardener where thoughts from the outer world are formed while the unconscious is like the inner garden where they are deposited on a daily basis. We plant seeds of conscious thoughts in the unconscious mind and then if we choose to do so, water them with new thoughts, emotions, feelings and actions. Interesting analogy, isn't it?

What happens if our conscious mind is left to its own devices on autopilot? The unconscious becomes strewn with weeds and eventually becomes unwieldy, making it difficult to attract what you want in life.

When we become aware of ourselves, we automatically make different decisions, attract different people to match our inner vibration and carry ourselves differently.

You see, because I've become the consummate gardener in the quest to attract what I truly want, I've consciously raised my level of awareness of the choices I'm making on a daily basis.

In essence, I've become both an observer and the observed of Stephen J. Hopson.

Who?

Yes, in case you forgot my name, that's me.

"What!?!" you might say. Think about that for a moment.

If you make conscious choices, you're bound to become aware of your actions, thoughts and feelings, right? What could follow from that?

Number one, you become the observer. Why? Because you're now watching yourself think, process, behave, assimilate, react, etc.

Number two, you become the observed. Why? Because you're observing yourself being observed. Think of it this way, it's like having an out-of-body experience where you're not only watching yourself carry on but you also know that you're watching yourself.

Pretty cool, wouldn't you say?

A small yet significant example would be what happens when I reach for the TV remote control. Never before have I observed myself making choices when selecting a TV program or movie. In the past, I might have sleepily flipped through the channels until I found something that caught my eye without giving it much thought.

Nowadays I find myself saying things like, "That's too violent" or "Why would I want to watch a documentary on violent prisons?" In other words, because these are conscious thoughts, I make different choices. One of them includes taking the time to press "Info" on the remote control to find out more about the program, just like reading the labels on food packages in the supermarket.

This leads me to watching educational documentaries on the Discovery Channel or Animal Planet rather than a violent, senseless thriller. I tend to gravitate to programs like "America's Funniest Videos" or comedy shows. One of the guests on "The Secret" testified how she was able to eliminate breast cancer by watching hilarious "Laurel and Hardy" movies every day along with daily affirmations and prayers. There really is truth in the old adage that laughter is best medicine!

Why don't you try it right now! Pretend you are having an out-of-body experience. Take your conscious mind outside yourself and go to your living room or wherever you have a TV. Become the observed and observer and watch your thoughts and your actions while flipping through the channels. Do the same thing when carrying on a conversation with people - you'll see how you really think, behave, speak. This exercise will shock you! It'll feel a little weird at first but I guarantee you'll find it quite fascinating and potentially life-changing.

Not only do you become the observed and observer, you also bring to light deeply embedded beliefs that might have been created as a result of past religious practices. For example, growing up in a Catholic household exposed me to prayers like "not being worthy to receive Jesus."

That absolutely blew my mind to smithereens - no wonder I had struggles in the past with the notion of being worthy enough to to receive gifts, ask for what I want, accept compliments or enjoy abundance!

Food for thought: Are you becoming both the observed and observer by acting like a loving, caring gardener of your unconscious mind?

Change How You Say It, Change Your Attractiveness

Language, whether its emerging from our mind, our heart, or our lips, says a lot about ourselves. It tells others what state we're in at the time, actually where we are in our life, as well as how we dress our self, our body and our soul. It also tells us what we will do now, what we did in the past, and what we will do in the future. Yet, we are so comfortable with our own voice and too busy to hear its voice that negative expressions escape constantly. Does what you say and how you say it count? U-betcha.

For those of you that are a student with the laws of attraction, also known as manifesting what you desire with the power of energy, this is another way you can use the law for your benefit. Let me expound on this in the simplest of ways.

What you say is how you are. There are usually many ways to say what you say. Many ways will not attract, others will. Lets journey together on this with an example. Lets use an expression we tend to use more mindfully and less expressively, "I could care less."

"I could care less," taken literally means "I care more than I might seem to." You are saying that you do care some and that isn't what you intended to mean which was not caring at all. The true way to state your feelings would be, "I couldn't care less." It may sound harsher yet its the truth. It is important to be true to your words.

Being true in your language is a vital step to being in a place of truth in yourself and in the world. As a I child, my Dad drummed the expression into me, and probably you as well, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." Practicing the laws isn't about sugar coating your feelings or your language. Its about expressing them from your own truth. But what the saying tells us that even though we can acknowledge this as our truth we don't have to express that truth verbally.

Because we are so comfortable with our language that we have stopped hearing what we are saying 90% of the time. The only way to catch your language is to use this exercise.

Here is a practice that will help you begin your journey in how to uncover the truth to your language. It will also change your hearing process anytime you speak. After listening consciously to your words, then and only then, can you begin a strong path to attractiveness. Also, hearing and acknowledging what you said takes courage. Is it easy to listen to yourself? Heck no. To me, my voice sounds like chalk squeaking on a blackboard. Focus on the outcome to move past the squeal. The shift in attractiveness is well worth the practice.

Audio record your telephone conversations. Just your side of the conversation. There isn't any country or state laws that affect you since they are one sided like there are in recording two-way conversations or in-person conversations. And you don't have to ask the other persons permission.

Extra tip: This is also a great way to improve your marketing and telephone skills as well.

Listen to the recording. Listen for the incomplete sentences, unfinished thoughts, and vocal expressiveness or flatness. Did you really say what you meant? What wasn't said that you thought you said? What wasn't finished and you thought it was? What words were slung together that attracted the opposite of what you wanted?

Extra tip: Tape record your conversations with your children. We become so comfortable with those that we love our language sabotages our relationships frequently. Especially with teenagers.

Awareness and acknowledgment are the first two steps to changing anything. We can't do either without hearing it first. And you can't change what you don't acknowledge. Attractive language allows you to walk a different path through life. Take the leap, find just enough courage to practice this exercise, it may be painful at times, but it will rewrite your life and all those that touch it.

Managing Change In Your Life

Your comfort zone is the place you feel safe, where there is no sense of risk. To step out of this place can feel scary and the thought of transforming the status quo can be overwhelming. It is also very easy to say that you will make change in your life when you have lost weight/moved house/have more money/the children have gone to school, etc, then never make that change or come up with new excuses not to move forward.

Change can be defined as an event that occurs when something passes from one state or phase to another, to make different; or cause a transformation.

The journey of making change is not always easy. When people make major change in their life, whether it is a voluntary or forced change, they go through a range of emotions and thoughts.

Their reactions are often as follows:

1. Denial - "it can't be true" or "I can't believe it"
2. Blaming others - "they shouldn't have done that" or "it is their fault"
3. Blaming themselves - "I should have known" or "it's my fault"
4. Accepting the new situation - "where do I go from here?"
5. Committing to change - "I'm going to do something about this"
6. Creative problem solving - "what am I going to do next?", "what are my options?"
7. Persevering and overcoming obstacles by being persistent - "I can do this!"

Sometimes people go through these stages quickly, but often they get stuck in the early stages of the model, and feel negative and sometimes depressed about a situation.

Even when making a voluntary change, such as changing your career or setting up a new business, it is still easy to find yourself in the areas of negativity. This is especially true in the early stages, such as the first days or weeks in a new job or the first few months of running a business.

It is important to get to stage 4 as quickly as possible, and to set a plan to move on.

It is also important that you think about the reactions of other people in your life. They may also go through these stages as life will be different, and you may need their support.

" Consult them when you are making decisions and seek their advice
" If you have a problem, ask for their help and listen to their views
" Involve them in your vision boardand your plan for the future

Managing change is an area where coaching can help. Clients will normally come for coaching because they want to significantly want to transform their lives. Sometimes they may not know what they want but are not happy with the status quo, or they may have an idea, but not know how to get there. It is then the role of the coach to empower them to move through the various stages as quickly as possible and achieve law of success!

Dubai Lifestyle - The History of the City and Day to Day Life in Dubai

Background Information to the United Arab Emirates and Dubai: -

Dubai is one of the seven states that make up the United Arab Emirates (UAE); it is located in the Middle East. The UAE borders the Gulf of Oman and the Persian Gulf and is situated between Oman and Saudi Arabia. The United Arab Emirates was formed in 1971 by the then Trucial States after their independence from Britain.

The UAE is governed by a Supreme Council of Rulers, the council is made up of the seven emirs and they appoint the prime minister and the cabinet for the country. Despite being ultimately ruled by the Supreme Council, as with the other six states, Dubai maintains a large degree of autonomy from the UAE when it comes to general decision making for the citys development.

Oil was first discovered in the United Arab Emirates in the 1950s, before that the countrys economy was built on fishing and pearling, since 1962, when Abu Dhabi became the first of the emirates to begin exporting the oil, the country's economy has been completely transformed.

Sheikh Zayed, who has been the president of the UAE since its inception, quickly understood the economic potential for the country from the oil industry. He has continued to ensure that each of the emirates benefits from the oil generated wealth, he has insisted on the reinvestment of oil revenues into the healthcare system, the education system and the general national infrastructure.

The development of the oil industry has led to a large influx of foreign workers to the UAE, in fact Dubais population is the fastest growing in the world and the foreign population makes up about three quarters of the entire UAE population! As a direct result of this fact the UAE is one of the most liberal countries in the Gulf, with other cultures and beliefs tolerated. Oil in the region is only projected to last for about 30 years and so Dubai has law of successfully embarked upon a major diversification program aimed to at developing industries and commercial enterprises to take the place of oil as the predominate commodity of the state's economy.

The climate in Dubai is sub-tropical and arid or desert like. The city enjoys almost year round sunny blue skies. Rain is infrequent and if it does fall, it falls in the winter.

Temperatures range from lows of 10C to extreme summer highs of 48C. The average maximum daily temperature in January is 24C and the average maximum daily temperature in July is 41C when humidity is very high.

If you prefer to find your accommodation privately and avoid any agency costs, many people use supermarkets notice boards to advertise or request accommodation.
