Need Motivation? Olympian Reveals the Number One Key That Will Ignite Your Motivation Forever

Every four years, millions of people around the world are enthralled by the athletes of the Olympic Games.

But as a spectator what you may not know is that Olympic athletes discover keys to success THAT CAN HELP YOU! True, you may not be able to relate to their god-like physical attributes, but if you're like me, you can relate to their desire to achieve, to reach a goal.

So whether you are a fan of the Olympics, and especially if you're not, you will want to take advantage of the number one key learned by all Olympic athletes. This key will build your motivation, ensure greater success and boost your self-esteem.

Powerful key revealed: THERE ARE THREE OUTCOMES TO EVERY RACE!

We all can agree on the first outcome, and that is TO WIN! Winning means that you achieved better results than anyone else on that day. That's good. The downside of winning is that only one person can win. So where does it leave everyone else?

Most people would say that if you don't win, then you lose. Losing is much rarer in the Olympics than you can imagine. But let's talk about another outcome.

You can BE BEATEN. This is not the same as losing. Being beaten means that you did your very best, but someone else did better than you. Of course everyone wants to be number one, but there is honor in being beaten. How can you possibly do better than your very best?

Think about it. If your very best isn't good enough, then only the impossible will do. What are your chances of achieving the impossible in your life? If there is only win and lose, you are setting yourself up for failure. How much motivation can you muster to continually try and fail? So the key is to include "being beaten" as an honorable outcome.

The final outcome is TO LOSE. In the Olympic world "to lose" means giving up or quitting. It means taking yourself out of the race, or not even trying. How motivating is that? Many people have this all-or-nothing attitude. If they can't win, then they don't try. Over time this attitude is the biggest killer of motivation. How do you operate your life?

To succeed we need a different attitude; we need to believe that doing our best is honorable.

A great story emerged from the 1968 Olympics. John Akhwari of Tanzania, brutally injured his leg during the marathon. The winner had already been declared an hour earlier when John hobbled into the stadium. As he crossed the finish line, the few remaining spectators roared its appreciation. A reporter asked him why he had not retired from the race, since he had no chance of winning. He seemed confused by the question. Finally, he answered: "My country did not send me to start the race. They sent me to finish." Was John a loser? No. HE WAS WELCOMED HOME A HERO.

Another great story you will never forget is about Nick If this story doesn't strengthen your motivation, nothing will!

It's true. The Olympics just come around every four years. And your life, your fitness, (or lack of it) is very, very real. However, if you are like me you appreciate guidance from whatever direction it comes. And this key learned from the Olympic athletes can (and will) insure you emerge from your particular challenges with stronger motivation, greater success, and increased self-esteem. So go ahead! Set high goals for yourself; just remember to celebrate EVERY time you do your best!

Spirit Guides - Three Ways to Reconnect

Everyone has a spirit guide. These wonderful helpers on the other side of the unseen ethereal veil were once earthbound, living people who through many lifetimes, have learned their life lessons and have advanced to that of spiritual teacher.

Below are three simple ways to reconnect with your spirit guide:

#1 *Meditation: (A word of caution - before beginning any exercise that involves opening your consciousness, in order to avoid lower energy beings from being drawn into your surroundings, it is important before beginning any practice, that you "clear" your space.)

Meditation will raise your level of consciousness and increase your energy vibration levels. Your guide is on the "other" side. You cannot access your guide using your human senses, therefore, you will need to meet your guide half way. By meditating just a few minutes a day, you can get a sense of your guides presence and even "hear" your guide answering your questions. Here is a quick meditation exercise:

Consciously make the decision to take a few minutes out of your day to clear the everyday items that run through your mind and begin your clearing. If you are a visual person, envision a large circle of white light in front of you. Mindfully bring this circle closer to your body and say: *"No negative energies can stay or enter inside this light. Only positive beings will be permitted to stay and enter." Now, feel the white light encircle your body. If not a visual person, say aloud the same statement, and with your arms to your sides, at the same time bring them up over your head and touch your hands together. You have just manifested a circle of protection.

Find a quiet place. Sometimes it is easier to quiet your mind with soft or meditation music playing that can be focused upon. Close your eyes. Ask that only higher entities can come to you and you would like to meet your spirit guide. Start relaxing your body and focus on relaxing the neck muscles, and shoulders. Focus on your breathing. Ease each breath until there is a calming rhythm. Slide your thoughts to relax your hips, top leg muscles, lower leg muscles, ankles and feet.

You are now in a receptive state. Your mind is clear. Your spirit is vibrating on a higher level. You await the answer to your question. You are not afraid.*

*(You may feel a tingling, chills, goose bumps, or even a sensation of energy pass up and down your spine. This perception is not a result of your spirit guide, but of you acquiring awareness of your spiritual state.)

Enjoy the peacefulness. See if the blackness of your closed eyes comes alive with any colors or images. What are these colors and images? Are they still or moving? Do you see anyone or anything? Don't be upset if you do not develop any images. Just for now, enjoy the peaceful sensation. Then, when you're ready, bring yourself slowly back into the room.

#2 Automatic Handwriting

This method of connecting will help both the non visual person as well as the visual. All that are required is a pen and paper and an open mind. You can use either hand for this. Keep in mind, if you use your less dominant hand your chances of encountering a message from your guide are better because your dominant hand is connected to your ego.

Hold the pen in a writing-ready position over the paper. When you ask your question, wait for an answer. Recall how you felt when you were in your relaxation mode while meditating. Bring your mind back to that feeling. This half-trance like stage is where you need to be before you can write. Your hand may feel like it needs to move back and forth before you write - allow this to happen. Or, you may simply start writing. Allow whatever needs to come to you to flow. Automatic handwriting should stream out easily so if you find yourself analyzing what you're writing, keep soothing music playing to keep your ego mind busy.

When you feel you are through writing, be sure to thank your guide. Read over your answers or messages and know this information was meant for you.

#3 Inner Voicing

This is a term for speaking "inside" your mind. This is unspoken thought that one uses to communicate "mind to mind" with your guide.

Ask for protection to only allow the higher energies to be able to answer you. Specifically ask that your guide be available. When you ask your questions, you may think the voice that responds inside your mind is not from our guide but coming from your own inner self-talk and that you are making up the answer or conversation you hear. How can you tell the difference? There are two "selves" that make up your being. These selves are the higher self and the lower self. The higher self is the part of you that is connected to the Divine and whereby you can access communication with your guides, the angels, even God. The higher self is in essence your spirit. Your lower self is connected with everything earthly and is referred to as the ego.

When you are inner voicing, and you "hear" answers or have conversations, here is how you will know if the information received is from your guide or from your ego. Your guide was once a human being, so it is not up to your guide to tell you what to do with your life. Even though you are in contact with the spiritual realm, you still have free will. Your guide will help you by suggestion, or bringing to light what may be blocking you from your lessons on earth. But, they will never tell you what to do.

Through meditation and practice you will be able to, once again, connect with your guide.

Book Review of How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie

This is a book review of Dale Carnegie's all time international classic How to Win Friends and Influence People. It is a fairly large review with the occasional "diversion" from the topic because I feel it is appropriate for this classic book.

The original version of this book was written in 1937 with just 5,000 copies in print. It didn't take long for the word to spread around the globe about the value contained within the book for millions of copies to be printed at later dates. The book has spread like wildfire since 1937 with over 16 million copies in print. Business owners, salespersons, and generally people who are interested in better relating to their fellow human being, have constantly referred to How to Win Friends and Influence People over the years as the best book you can read on the subject.

If you're not really familiar with self-help classics, you may be wondering how the heck can books written in the early-to-mid 1900s be useful today? Surely humanity has made many more great discoveries that are far superior than this "old school" material?

I use to think the exact same thing prior to reading such books. However, there is something to do with learning about a subject from the core, the nectar, the heart of its original pioneers that makes the information so powerful. I have literally heard hundreds of people praise How to Win Friends and Influence People. Originally, I thought it was because the book was most people's introduction to communication skills. I thought, "Sure, the book is great because it's your first experience in learning the amazing effect of good communication."

What I later found, which is what many people have experienced, is that by reading the book one time every year you experience a powerful new realization. Life-changing realizations are also frequently experienced by many people when reading Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich. The awareness and experience you have at the present time isn't enough to completely grasp the principles in these classic books.

After reading the 2008 edition of this book, I've come to realize that the book's four parts which deal with techniques to handle people, ways to make people like you, winning people to your way of thinking, and being a successful leader, are the fundamental skills of all human relations. I constantly teach these principles without realizing it because they are so fundamental to relationships. The very important point I'd like to distinguish here is that fundamentals are not necessarily basic skills. Fundamentals in any area form a solid framework for further skill development.

An athlete cannot become good in his or her sport by not having correct fundamentals. Sport coaches will tell you that an athlete who does not have the right fundamentals is tough to coach because every skill builds off the foundation laid by fundamental skills. Professional athletes constantly fine tune their fundamental skills because they know the profound affect such skills have on their professional abilities. Advanced techniques are only useful when the person knows the fundamentals. Also, having good fundamentals produces an exponential effect that puts you ahead of 95% of people, while advanced techniques in any area produces a slight improvement that gives you an edge of the 5% who also have sound fundamentals.

Tiger Woods can work on perfecting his 2 iron stinger where he hits the ball with a very low trajectory, while the average golfer is better off focusing on fundamentals like a better grip, stance, and pre-shot routines. However, Tiger still needs to monitor and work on these fundamentals as well. The skills taught in How to Win Friends and Influence People constantly need to be revisited and worked on regardless of how good you think you are at communicating.

At the start of each chapter, Carnegie discusses the chapter's principle. He then provides an example of how someone, mostly students from his speaking course, have applied the principle in their business or family life. The stories themselves can be a revelation at times as you become aware of how and in what situations the principles can be applied.

The majority of the book discusses concepts instead of word-for-word techniques. One principle is making the other person feel important. Dale doesn't tell you to say exactly this and that. He provides the "what," which is the concept, with a little bit of the "how."

The table of contents is below:

These are powerful principles that are still changing the lives of those who have read the book five or more times. If you don't already have a copy of Dale Carnegie's How to Win Friends and Influence People, you need to go grab your copy now.

30 Days to Creating Super Habits

Creating super habits are easier than you could ever imagine. Most people have something they would like to change in their lives. If you ask anyone, they are usually able to answer this question, "If you could change anything about yourself, what would you change." All the self help and personal development programs and books available today are full of useful information that nobody seems to take advantage of. You've seen the TV commercials and listen to other people tell their stories, about how they lost weight.

Are you one of those skeptics that find these stories hard to believe. Do you think it's possible to create a life changing habit within 30 days? If you don't think it's possible, have you ever tried to change something about yourself you don't like.

If you haven't tried, how do you know it's impossible. If you have tried to create change in your life, did you quit, did you quit shortly after you started. This is often what most people do. They either quit before they start and never even get started, or they quit within a short period of time after they started. Usually these people have an excuse, most of the time their excuse is quite simply, it was harder than I thought.

Creating super habits in 30 days is possible and you don't have to be an over achiever to accomplish this goal. Creating these habits will require some effort on your part but the rewards most of the time are worth the effort.

I challenge you to change something about yourself you don't like within the next 30 days.

Go to the next step for more information.

Sacred Love Building Relationships That Work - Some Essentials of the Heart

There are five simple ingredients to a great relationship. I think all of them need to be in place for the relationship to stand the test of time. Any one of them will trigger the desire to enter the relationship, but, unless all are there, the relationship just dwindles to maintenance.

The first ingredient of a great relationship

Falling in love, over and over again. Did you know that we "fall into love" with someone when we get out of our head? That means, we fall in love when we are not thinking. The irony is that we fall in love with someone because we expect nothing from them. Then, we spend the rest of our relationship with that person trying to get them to match our expectations. The fastest path around this is to acknowledge that you are going to have those expectations and they are important, but to fall in love, again and again and again, you need to have periods together where you just have time out. Fun stuff, where you just BE together without wanting anything. I call this STILLNESS but it's not still.

The second ingredient of a great relationship

The truth of human nature, (as opposed to the ego nature) is that it has two sides. Balance. So, we have a public and a private nature. They are always diametrically opposite. The total ass in public has a sweet side that they display somewhere else in life. So, in relationship, it is really common to find yourself focusing on the "darker side" of your partner, especially if you are into self-help, personal growth, yoga or meditation. You see, everyone has a good and a bad side. When we are in relationship we can easily focus on the bad side, because we become self-obsessed focusing on hiding our own bad side. It's like buying a yellow VW car. Before you buy one, none exist. After you buy one, it seems like every second person has one. When you become obsessed with changing yourself, or disowning your darker side, you can't see past the darker side of your partner. Their foibles. So, the solution here is to start to embrace your true nature, and as a result, be able to embrace the whole being that is your partner too.

The third ingredient of a great relationship

Evolve ya bastard. We tried to find a quote for the women folk, Evolve ya bitch just doesn't have the same ring too it and coming from a bloke like me, can be misinterpreted. So, simply put, "GET OVER IT." You are not a victim, shit happens in your life because you bred it. Take the fall, own your power, you cause your troubles. If you do this, you can fix this. See, if you don't cause your world, then how can you fix or change it? Evolve means to accept and UNJUDGE. That's deep stuff because it involves changing your beliefs. It also involves massive MIRRORING. Meaning seeing your own reflection in the actions and words of others. If you don't evolve in a relationship, you sabotage it and bring in the drama.

The Fourth ingredient of a great relationship

Dreams. 99% of self and relationship sabotage comes from lost vision. Now, I'm not here talking about maintenance. Like "bringing up the kids." When a couple get totally turned on by each other long term it's really because they see a great future together. It's exciting and filled with new adventures. When the libido drops or the emotion goes out, it's because that future has turned to boredom. Boredom in any area of life kills the human spirit. Now, you might say, "bringing up the kids is not boring," but really, its the same thing, day in day out. It's maintenance. I'm talking about things that you dream about. Holidays are a poor man's substitute for a great life. So, many people who lack the real vision of the future to inspire themselves, go on holidays. It's like putting a band-aid on a skin cancer. Do dreams, do vision quest together. Nothing is more important for long term sexy relationship than this.

The fifth ingredient of a great relationship

It's you. You have to turn up happy. You can't prey on your partner for happiness. Happiness is what you bring to your relationship. If you turn up bored or burned out from your job, you're going to suck the life force out of your partner. They have to put up self-protective barriers to that sort of ignorance. Get a life. Get a sport. Get a Hobie. And if you don't, you'll find yourself dreaming of sex with strangers, aka, TV Desperate Housewives. Stupid life. If your yoga class, your meditation class, your spiritual guru, your self help, your job does not send you home laughing, smiling, jumping for joy at the life you've got, then F...k it.

With Spirit and love

Chris "walk your talk" Walker

I really want to help people live to a different rhythm of life. I have done many practices to achieve inner peace, they were good, but fragile. Now, I have found stillness because life has become my meditation. I would love to share how. You see, once I thought my expectations were the best barometer of goodness. Anything that wasn't good, needed to change, or be fixed. Now, I know nature, natural law, creation. And I realise that with self-honesty, I can hold my inner peace, my stillness, wherever I go, not just on my cushion in the morning and night.

Internet Vs Hypnosis Recordings

Initially, hypnosis failed to be a crowd pulling subject. However, nowadays it is one of the widely researched, utilized and appreciated subjects. This encouraged the advent of hypnotherapy CDs, hypno discs and hypnotist tapes. These recordings played an indispensable role in educating and informing the masses regarding the utilitarian aspects of hypnosis.

Internet: its advent

But, the very entrance of internet proved to be major set back for these recordings. To start with, these hypnosis downloads are hassle free and user friendly. Since, the web space includes millions of websites dealing with the various aspects of hypnosis, it provides infinite amount of knowledge for the researches, professionals and individuals. In addition to it, internet has also evolved as a very essential communication tool, which every minute, reaches out to millions of surfers.

The other factors that have enhanced the usage of these web downloads are

* Their easy uploading due to their storage in MP3 format.
* Privacy while listening or going through the recording or content.
* Unlimited coverage of internet as countless sites are dealing with self help guides.
* Free hypnosis sessions provided by many sites.
* Sites also offer some reliable hypnotic experiments.
* They are interactive and far reaching.

Internet makes hypnosis recordings

Nowadays, the easy format of hypnosis scripts and downloads are being used for making hypnosis CDs and tapes. Hence, along with giving tough competition to these recordings, internet is also taking up the entire control of aiding in the making of these tools.

Word of caution

No matter, how phenomenal the impact of internet might be, security and safety still remains the essential issues. Just like hypnosis recordings, it is necessary to check the reliability of the websites before using their content and downloads. The tapes and DVDs are designed by hypnotism therapists and practitioners. Hence, they have more credibility. After receiving the same assurance from the sites, one should go about utilizing it.

Signs and Stages of Alcoholism

Alcoholism is a problem that develops in stages. As the individual continues to consume in large amounts, the signs becomes visible and one can't function properly without the influence of alcohol. Severe signs start when you start looking at yourself in the mirror for any symptoms of alcoholism and feeling guilty or offended when you are asked about your drinking habits. It also leads to withdrawal symptom where the addict enjoys drinking alone in secret places.

The alcoholics continue drinking in large amounts. They have preset time for drinking and if they fail to drink that time, the response is very aggressive. They gather in specific place after work to drink. All social and recreational activities are centered on drinking. They lose interest in activities which used to bring pleasure like hobbies, entertainment and outings with friends.

Alcoholism leads to marital disharmony. If the husband is a drinker, he won't attend social meetings that there are no drinks. The partner, being a normal person who likes to have normal social life, will get offended and this will lead to conflict. The nature of the individual changes and the loving sensitive human becomes an aggressive and reckless person. The aggression is reflected in reaction to small things at home or place of work with extreme anger.

The extreme sign is when the individual starts keeping alcohol in weird places like home or office and always drink to feel normal. Isolation is dominant at this stage. Alcohol leads to enlarged hearts with weak cardiac muscles and raised blood pressure. The lipid levels are raised which causes heart diseases like angina and cardiac failure. The effects are fatal because late stages of alcohol is not curable. The best thing is to keep the poison bottle away from you!
